STEVEN Craig said the confidence of Wanderers' players is so high at the moment they could happily play three games every week.

The striker said during some dark days last season certain players dreaded matchdays coming around.

But it's the complete opposite at the moment with Blues on a run of ten unbeaten games and Craig said the squad now wants matches to come thick and fast.

The Scotsman added the winning run - they've won eight out of 13 so far this season - was making Wanderers a more resilient outfit.

He said: "You usually find after a season where you've struggled, the season after you tend to do really well.

"The gaffer's recruited really well in the summer and brought in some good characters. It's a squad that's together, and I think that's the secret.

"If you're doing well you could play two or three games a week - it wouldn't matter. It's when you're losing games you dread the next one coming.

"Personally I'm enjoying my football. It's nice to get back in the team after my concussion against Bury and I aim to stay there.

"You always enjoy your football more if you're top of the league rather than bottom. Last year we started off well and it tailed off.

"This season our main objective is a mass improvement on last year - so far we're doing it.

"Confidence always comes from winning games. The more games you win, the more resilient you become as a squad.

"I think we're proving week in, week out how resilient and how hard working we are."

Craig has his wish of a quick turnaround with Blues facing the long haul down to Devon to take on Exeter City tomorrow night.

He said: "We've got a tough trip away to Exeter. Watesy's [fitness coach Dave Wates] got us preparing already and the boys are looking forward to it."
