FORMER Wanderers playing hero Steve Brown has landed a prestigious role at the FA.
Brown, who made 444 appearances for Blues during a decade of service, has this week been appointed as the FA's Head of Regional Talent Identification.
His role will combine developing relationships between clubs and national sides with seeking out the next generation of international players.
Brown, 48, told the FA's website: "It’s a fantastic long-term project that is hopefully going to shape us towards winning a major tournament.
"It’s hugely exciting to work with The FA and national teams, I’m still pinching myself each day – I’m like a kid in a sweet shop and I’m waiting for someone to wake me up from this dream."
