MATT Bloomfield said he’s happy to show his war wound to the Barnet fans who called him a cheat and accused him of play acting to get Sam Togwell sent off.

Wanderers’ longest serving player was the victim of a mistimed lunge from Togwell in first half stoppage time which saw the Beaconsfield-born midfielder given his marching orders in Saturday's FA Cup tie.

Bloomfield was subsequently booed by the Barnet fans who accused him of making a meal of the tackle from Togwell, who was also sent off in his first game of a loan spell at Adams Park last season.

The Blues player was happy to acknowledge his combatant isn’t a dirty player but said: “I’ve got the marks on top of my foot, so anyone who wants to call me a cheat can come and see it.”

He added: “The ball’s fallen between us, I’ve managed to get there just before Togs and he’s come over the top and done me on the top of the foot.

“There’s nothing more to be said than that. I know he’s not that type of guy, I’m sure it wasn’t on purpose, but these things happen. I got one last year, I accidentally mistimed one and got sent off for it.”
