IN more than a decade at Wanderers Matt Bloomfield has experienced plenty of highs and lows - but one thing he's never had is a good FA Cup run.

Blues have failed to overcome the first hurdle in the world's oldest knockout cup competition on five occasions since Bloomfield first joined the club.

They've also been knocked out by two non league teams and have only made the third round once in that time.

After clearing the first obstacle in this season's competition courtesy of a 3-1 win at Barnet, Bloomfield said when asked who he wanted next: "Anyone at home, obviously, would be good. I don't think I've got to round three in just under 11 years. A home tie would be nice - against who, it doesn't matter."

The long serving midfielder can perhaps be forgiven for his memory lapse for failing to remember a third round exit at home by Hereford United in 2011, in a tame 1-0 loss watched by just 2,353.

The Wanderers side he currently plays for is a different animal, having to come from behind to book their place in this evening's second round draw.

It's the sixth time Blues have either won or drawn after conceding the first goal of the game this season and Bloomfield said this team are full of belief.

He said: "We were up against it but we're resilient and we've come back from behind to win on more than one occasion already this season, and we had to do that again. Especially early on they had the wind, they had momentum and got the early goal.

"If we come from behind that many times, there has to be belief. The boys are all together.

"To fall behind so early on we could have buckled. Our core value is hard work - if you do that and you're all together, you've got every chance of getting success off the back of that."
