Blues players have been warned to expect a backlash from Accrington Stanley tomorrow after they missed out on a lucrative FA Cup tie.

Two late goals for Yeovil Town sent Accy out of the competition in a Tuesday night replay, denying them the chance of hosting giants Manchester United in the third round.

Defeat prompted Stanley boss John Coleman to say he wanted his side to replace Yeovil in League One next season, hoping his side goes up and the Glovers suffer a second successive relegation.

It's a clear indication Accrington's players and staff are hurting from the defeat.

But Wanderers go into the game off the back of one of their best wins of the season, having swatted aside Southend United 4-1 on Saturday, and Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth wants more of the same in his native Lancashire tomorrow.

He said there's no point playing so well one week if they're to undo the good work the next.

Ainsworth said: "It's something we've got in us week in, week out. The boys played some great stuff, they took the game to Southend. We can't do what we did to Southend at home and not back it up with our next performance.

"We need to keep backing it up - it's not sorted after one game. Saturday we go into Accrington with a while different array of problems of what they are going to do against us.

"They are one of the best Accrington sides I have seen for a while. It's a totally different team - you won't recognise many of the names, but John Coleman has turned the club upside down in his second reign.

"They've been playing some good stuff, they'll be in our face and press high. It's a ground which is tough to visit and get anything from, but it's been a happy hunting ground and hopefully that can continue."

Ainsworth was in attendance at Huish Park on Tuesday and said: "They did well against Yeovil - they were the better side, for me, for periods of the game.

"Two late goals have denied them a great money spinning tie - we had the same fate getting knocked the FA Cup. We both want to get back to winning ways as soon as we can."

Hogan Ephraim remains a fitness doubt for the game, but otherwise Ainsworth has a fully fit squad to choose from.
