Former Chairboy Andy Sandell will miss out on a return to Adams Park tomorrow, but there is a home coming for another ex-Blue when Newport County arrive for the League Two encounter.

Sandell, who is the Welsh side’s club captain, will serve a one-match suspension on Saturday after picking up his tenth yellow card of the season in a 1-1 draw against Tranmere on Tuesday night.

The defender made 47 appearances for the Blues before leaving in December 2011.

Chris Zebroski scored nine goals for Wanderers during his time at the club and is likely to feature in caretaker manager Jimmy Dack’s squad after missing their midweek clash due to illness.

The Exiles are also without midfielder Lee Minshull after he sustained a concussion on Tuesday, while full-back Robbie Willmott is a doubt after suffering a knock in the same game.

Andrew Hughes is their only long-term absentee, having been sidelined for the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury.

Wanderers could once again struggle to fill their substitutes’ bench if captain Paul Hayes and Max Kretzschmar fail late fitness tests on calf and thigh injuries respectively.

Gareth Ainsworth also saw Courtney Senior leave this week after the expiration of his one-month loan deal from Brentford.

Wanderers beat Newport on the first day of the season, recording a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Peter Murphy and the now departed Paris Cowan-Hall.
