Gareth Ainsworth said he might have to set a new points target for Wanderers after their form tailed off since hitting 55 points.

Blues' season-long target of accumulating the 55 points seen as needed to guarantee survival was met last week, but they have lost both matches since then.

Overall, Ainsworth's men are in something of a comparative slump, having won just one of their last six matches despite remaining in the automatic promotion places.

The Blues boss told the Bucks Free Press last week he had not set a revised points target for the rest of the campaign, saying he simply wanted his men to win as many games as possible.

But after back-to-back home losses against Plymouth Argyle and Newport County, Ainsworth admitted he might have to give that a re-think.

He said: "Maybe we should set a new points target and get our heads together this week, and give them something to go for.

"You go for the win and that was the target. If they need a points target, I'll give them one, and we'll see where we end up with that."
