Wycombe Wanderers have granted Myles Weston’s wish to leave the club due to family reasons, with the winger making a move closer to home with Ebbsfleet United.

Weston arrived at Adams Park last summer and, after overcoming an early-season injury setback, went on to make 26 appearances, scoring three times.

However, Weston has expressed a need to be closer to his family and has today joined National League side Ebbsfleet.

Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth said: “Myles came to me and was very honest in saying that the long drive around London each day was taking its toll and he needed to have the opportunity to spend more time with his partner and his two young children.

“As a manager, I would have liked to have Myles as part of my squad for the forthcoming season, but as a dad myself, I know the importance of family.

"To be successful this year we will need to have the right environment with players who are happy and settled at the club, so we feel it’s best for Myles to make this move and we wish him all the best for the future.”
