Wycombe Wanderers prepare to face Yeovil Town at Adams Park tomorrow and in the process get rid of an unwanted record against the Glovers.

The Chairboys have failed to beat the Somerset side at home in the EFL and you have to go back to non-league days for the last time Yeovil lost on Wycombe’s patch.

Last season, the Blues were held 1-1 at Adams Park by Yeovil but the visitors have a poor record on their travels this campaign.

Manager Gareth Ainsworth is desperate for that run to end this weekend but is wary of the threat Darren Way’s side pose.

He said: “We will hopefully put this record to bed.

“We have already seen a few records go in the years I have been in charge and hopefully we can end another one on Saturday.

“Darren is a good manager and he will have them organised and they have a couple of good individuals in their team without a doubt and we have to watch out but if we play like we have been at home then we have a good chance against anybody and hopefully we can put this Yeovil jinx to bed.”

Ainsworth touched more on the individuals they possess in their squad and added: “Olomola and Otis Khan are real threats and I am big fans of both players.

“I remember Khan played really well against us recently and they are dangerous.

“We have to look at our team as well and I hope that we get the respect we deserve.

“We have some good players in our side and some dangerous players of our own. It is a game I am looking to win and I hope will put us back in the top seven.”
