Wanderers midfielder Dominic Gape said the side executed their gameplan to perfection as they saw off Crawley 3-2 to jump to third in League Two.

Gape has been instrumental in recent weeks and had another superb game in the engine room as he Luke O'Nien, Matt Bloomfield and Marcus Bean pressed their opponents into submission.

He said: "The gaffer and Dobbo did their homework and credit to them they set us up looking at their weaknesses and where we can benefit from and fortunately it worked a treat."

Gape also lauded the partnership of Nathan Tyson and Adebayo Akinfenwa for the problems they posed to the Crawley defence.

He joked: "You have the strongest in the league and you have the quickest in the league so as a pairing they aren't too bad."

Gape's form since the turn of the year has been sensational with numerous excellent displays being hailed by Gareth Ainsworth in recent months.

He said of his form modestly: "I am enjoying being back in the midfield. I spent some time at right-back to cover as we had a lot of injuries but I am much happier back in midfield and I am doing alright at the moment."
