Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainswortth has spoken of his admiration for Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman and the job he has done at the club.

Wanderers face Stanley tomorrow at Adams Park in what is sure to be a fascinating clash with plenty to play for.

The Blues have the chance to cement the final automatic promotion place and Accrington could win the title in south Bucks as the race for promotion becomes clearer.

Ainsworth is under no illusion as to how tough the game will be but praised Coleman and his assistant Jimmy Bell for the work they have done in limited resources.

He said: “People talk about when we made the play-off final and we were probably the bottom budget in the league.

“Accrington are down there too and to get promoted in the manner they have done is outstanding.

“They haven’t changed their team and they have avoided injuries but credit to John and Jimmy.

“I have had some good games against them over the years and they have become good colleagues and I am sure we will have a beer after the game.

“I have big respect for John no matter what he does and wherever they finish. I know what restraints he has got and I know what a good bloke he is as well.

“Well done to him and his team and hopefully we can join them next season in League One.”
