Gary Waddock
GARY Waddock is expecting a tough start to life in League Two after the fixtures for the 2012/13 season were released on Monday.
Blues have York City, Bristol Rovers and Gillingham in the opening weeks of the season and the Wanderers manager He said: “I have good and bad memories when I look through the fixture list.
“If you look at the first batch of games, we’re going to be up against teams who are going to be competing at the top end of the table.
“York had a successful season coming back into the Football League, then you look at Fleetwood, who have added a number of players to their squad.
“It’s going to be tough.”
Morecambe, Oxford, Aldershot, Barnet and Port Vale are Wanderers’ opponents in April.
However, Waddock, who would not discuss takeover or transfer speculation, admitted that at this stage is was impossible to look too far ahead.
He said: “No one has won a game yet, there are no form books to look at. You just can’t tell at this stage.”
Meanwhile, Wanderers are still deciding whether to go ahead with a friendly against Watford after drawing them in the first round of the Capital One Cup.
Waddock said: “It will be a good test against tough, tough Championship opposition.
“It’s a local one too, so it’s good for the fans.”

Of course you going to be up against teams that will be competing for the top spots, in exactly the same way as you'll be competing against those fighting relegation.
Every team has to finish somewhere you have to make make sure you get the team to the right end this time!
