Swimming: Jemielty wins well

A SMALL group of Wycombe District Swimming Club's members competed in the Cheestrings Southern Counties BAGCATS Age Group Championships at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre last weekend.

They made their presence felt in no small way.

Anna Jemielity in the 13-years age group won the 200m backstroke in an excellent personal best time.

She also placed fourth in the 100m backstroke and 400m freestyle events.

James Crawford swam another personal best time when collecting the bronze medal in the final of the 14-years 100m butterfly, while 13-year-old Katie Ambridge lowered her personal best time in the 200m breaststroke by nearly eight seconds to place fifth in the 13-years age group final.
