Swimmers hit overdrive

WYCOMBE District Swimming Club were a force to be reckoned with at the Maxwell Swim Club Level 3 Open Meet at the weekend.

Sixty four members age 9-19 swam in the meet, and Wycombe were simply the best taking home 20 Speeding Tickets for times exceeding the Level 3 cut off times and 20 GOLD MEDALS, 12 SILVER , MEDALS and 18 BRONZE MEDALS.

They swam in 298 events and produced 234 Personal Best Times.

SPEEDING CERTIFICATES went to 10 year GEORGE LONGHURST x 3, ISLA CURRIE x2, EMILY CANNON x1, 12 year CONNOR LEWIS x4, SARAH COLLIN x2, LIAM JONES x3, 13 year JOSH LEWIS x1, 14 year FIONA SHAW x1, HANNAH WILLIAMS x1, MITCHELL GREEN x1, 16 year JOE RULER x1.

BRONZE MEDALS – 10 year ETHAN CARTER - 50 Back, JACK COX - 200 Freestyle, 11 year LEWIS BALL - 100 Fly, 12 year JOSH HOWARD - 50 Breast, Fly and Free, IMOGEN SHEPHERD - 400 I.M., ISSY BAXTER - 50 Free and Fly, HEN LOWEN-COOPER - 50 Back, SARAH COLLIN - 200 I.M., FRANCINE KIDD - 400 Free and 100 Free, CONNOR LEWIS - 100 Breaststroke, 13 year MEL DOWNES - 200 I.M., 14 year GEORGINA HARPER - 200 Fly, 16 year JOE RULER - 200 Free.

It would be hard to single out a Wycombe Swimmer of the Meet as there were so many fantastic improvements, but the one that stands out was 12 year  FRANCINE KIDD all her swims in Personal Best times and 12 year County Qualifying Times for 2010.
