Wasps on the verge of contract conclusion

WASPS will conclude contract negotiations with their players this week.

Although director of rugby Tony Hanks would not discuss it after yesterday's LV Cup victory over Newcastle, it is understood the club is in the final stages of discussions and will make an announcement this week.

Danny Cipriani and Paul Sackey are two of the big name players out of contract in the summer.

Cipriani, who played for England Saxons yesterday, was strongly linked with a move to Australia last week but could be tempted to stay in England and fight for his international future.
