Wycombe claim more victories

SWIMMING: Wycombe District Swimming Club had 11 firsts and six seconds to finish second behind league leaders Guildford in Sunday's Speedo League (South) Premier Division second round.

Katie Ambridge registered three of those wins as she finished first in the open 100m butterfly, the 100m butterfly and 100m breaststroke.

She then joined up with Anna Jemielity, Anna Miller and Cordelia Wilson to win the open 4x50m medley.

Alex Vince was also a winner in the open 100m butterfly before joining Scott Mudge, David Ryan and Robert Matthew-Stroud to win the 4x50m open medley and then they were joined by James Poulter and Andrew Carpenter to win the open 6x50m freestyle.

Other winners were Anna Jemielity in the open 100m backstroke, Anna Miller in the open 100m breaststroke, Ryan in the open 100m breaststroke and Matthew-Stroud in the open 100m freestyle.

The club's final round gala takes place on at Haslemere on Saturday, December 10.
