Rivals bow to Marshall law

CLAIRE Marshall was all-but unstoppable as she ruled Reading with an iron fist, taking five golds and a silver for Wycombe District Swimming Club.

The 13-year-old was one of 37 Wycombe swimmers competing in the annual Invitational Allan Eyles Meet, and she was not the only star.

In total the club produced 104 personal bests from 135 races as well as a host of medals.

Alongside Marshall, other gold winners for Wycombe were Joshua Lancaster, Maddie Clark, Hannah Krasner, Daniel Simpson, Patrick Kenny, Liam Dudley, Hannah Summers. Zach Scannell, George Hunter, Charlotte Brill-Edwards and Tom House.

Silver and bronze medals came from Daniel Simpson, who won three, Eleanor Meadows, Joshua Lancaster, Liam Dudley, Ayodele Evanson, Zach Scannell, Amy Soanes, Kate Lees, George Hunter, Tom House, George Mann, Spencer Green, Hattie Manners, Samuel Gay, Rachel Murdoch.
