WANDERERS wonderkid Jordan Ibe is set to sign for Premier League giants Liverpool in the summer, according to reports this evening.
The 16-year-old announced himself to the footballing world with a superb strike against Sheffield Wednesday in his first professional start at Adams Park in October.
A number of the Premier League big guns – including champions Manchester United and current league leaders Manchester City – have reportedly shown an interest in the forward.
But reports tonight suggest the Merseyside club has stolen a march on their rivals and will snap up Ibe for a fee in the region of £500,000 at the end of the season.
The new Elite Player Performance Plan comes into effect for the 2012-13 season - capping the transfer fee Football League clubs will be able to command for players under 17.
The Blues have not commented on the youngster’s future this evening.
But the Chairboys’ number one Nikki Bull tweeted tonight: “Lots of Rumours regarding Jordan Ibe leaving WWFC. Only a matter of time before one of the big boys came knocking with their chequebook #talent”
