DAN Manners enjoyed a weekend break in Germany, but the 16-year-old was so busy collecting medals he hardly had time to relax.

Manners won six golds and a silver as Wycombe District Swimming Club enhanced their reputation with 29 golds, 25 silvers and 13 bronzes – plus another five relay medals.

Manners was the star though, achieving county qualifying times in the 200m IM, 200 and 400m freestyle and the 200m backstroke.

Also in spectacular form was Tom Lundie-Sadd, 11, who won the 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle and added three backstroke golds as well. Other winners were Lewis Ball, Jasmine Boffin, Charlotte Hole and David Howard.

Meanwhile, Wycombe held on to their National Arena Swimming Premier League status by five points.

Tom Lundie-Sadd, Harry Engall, George Longhurst, Alex Vine, Fiona Shaw and Francine Kidd were all in form at the third and final round in Guildford.
