LEON Johnson has been playing on despite carrying a hamstring injury, Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth said.

The defender's experience and form were crucial to Blues during a recent six game unbeaten run, but he was eventually forced to sit out and was replaced in the side by Aaron Pierre at Burton.

Strikers Jo Kuffour and Matt McClure both failed to make the midweek journey north, while Steven Craig was pressed into action despite only having recently returned from a hamstring strain himself.

And Ainsworth said he might have to shuffle things around again at Scunthorpe United on Saturday.

He said: "It's all through the squad. It's muscles getting tired, little strains here or there. It's only a week or ten days but they are all counting together.

"We've got one or two knocks and one or two walking wounded we have to look at in the next couple of days.

"There could be one or two little changes on Saturday again - not my decision but enforced on me by injuries."

He added: "We're not too far away from me having to make some sort of appearance or getting a shirt printed up because we've got quite a few injuries."
