WANDERERS have announced the signing of Aston Villa defender Janoi Donacien on a month's loan.

The 21-year-old will go straight into tomorrow's squad for the visit of Dagenham and Redbridge.

Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth explained the reasons behind the swoop to the club's website.

He said: "Injuries to Anthony Stewart and Danny Rowe in the last couple of weeks have really stetched the squad defensively and Janoi will be a big help to us over the coming month."

The new recruit has plenty of League Two experience having played 37 games on loan for Tranmere last season and he was introduced to his new team-mates on Tuesday night when he was a spectator sitting in the stands alongside Rowe for the Blues' 1-0 win at Morecambe.

And he will know, having witnessed that brilliant resilient defensive display, that getting into the starting team will be his first tough test.
