WANDERERS boss Gareth Ainsworth should know exactly what to expect from tonight’s Adams Park opponents Yeovil – but the trouble is the Glovers will know exactly what to expect from Wycombe as well.

Why? Because Ainsworth and Yeovil boss Darren Way both did their coaching badges together.

Yeovil had been one of the division’s form sides until successive derby defeats against Exeter and Bristol Rovers dented their progress but Ainsworth is expecting another tough clash under the Adams Park lights.

He said: “Yeovil are a good side. I watched them away at Stevenage last week and don’t be misguided by their position in the league.

“Darren Way is a good friend of mine, we did coaching badges together. He’s got an organised Yeovil team, who try and play a bit and have the likes of Leroy Lita and Francois Zoko in the team, big strikers.”

While Wanderers are hosting Yeovil, Blues skipper Paul Hayes says it will be interesting to see how AFC Wimbledon – the team that currently hold the last play-off place that Wycombe and others are trying to wrestle from them – handle the pressure, now that they have something to lose.

The Wombles hold a two-point cushion over Wycombe, Exeter and Leyton Orient and Hayes says that brings a pressure of its own as Wanderers found last season when they were nudged out of the automatic promotion places.

Hayes said: “Last season we were in the driving seat for a long time right up until the end and we didn’t make the top three. Now we are coming from a different angle.

“Wimbledon are not experienced of being in the driving seat until recently. Let’s see how they can handle the pressure. We’ve been there last year so we know what it’s like.”
