Hatton is playing his second tournament of the European Tour season
Marlow golfer Tyrrell Hatton shot a first round 72 to sit seven strokes off the lead after the first round of the Dubai Desert Classic at the Emirates Golf Club.
Hatton, 25, is playing alongside Henrik Stenson and Sergio Garcia in the first two rounds and the Spaniard currently leads the way with a seven under par round of 65 in the desert.
The tournament concludes on Sunday and world number 23 Hatton will be hoping to make giant strides over the next three rounds.
