Paris Cowan-Hall has returned to Adams Park on a permanent deal, signing a contract until June 2019.

The attacker completed his loan spell from Millwall on Tuesday but was allowed to leave the League One club on a free transfer, enabling him to join another team outside of the transfer window.

Gareth Ainsworth has moved to bring Paris back to Wycombe for a fourth time, having signed him originally from Plymouth Argyle in 2013 before agreeing two loan deals from Millwall, who had purchased him from the Chairboys in January 2015.

Ainsworth said: “It’s no secret that I’ve wanted to keep Paris at Wycombe and I’m thrilled that we’ve been able to agree the right deal to do that.

“Paris has played the best football of his career here and he’s a hugely important member of the squad, so to bring him back on a two-and-a-half year deal shows my faith in him and I have no doubt he will continue to work hard and help us achieve something this year and beyond.”

The 26-year-old is currently sidelined with a short-term injury sustained in the Checkatrade Trophy quarter-final win at Mansfield, having played 24 times so far this season, scoring three times.

His first spell at Adams Park saw him hit an explosive run of form which persuaded Millwall – then in the Championship – to swoop for him just days before he was named the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month.

However, he struggled to nail down a regular place in the Lions’ first team and returned to the Wanderers on a loan deal last January, scoring once in five games before an injury cut short his time in south Bucks.

Ainsworth added him to his competitive attacking options again in the summer, agreeing a loan deal which kept Paris at the club until the end of January, and has now captured his man once again on a free transfer.
