Chairboys hitman Nathan Tyson said his last-gasp strike rolled back the years as Wycombe edged past Crewe in a thriller at Adams Park.

Tyson smashed in a glorious strike from the edge of the box to give his side a deserved three points.

After the game, the 35-year-old added that it was a fantastic feeling to score in front of the Blues faithful again.

He said: "It was brilliant to score at the end there. I still believed we could win and we didn't let our heads dropped. We showed so much character and it really paid off.

"I didn't want to come inside as I wanted to hang out wide. Ebere gave me the ball and I knocked it and went and I thought I would have a crack.

"It brought back so many memories. Celebrating in front of the fans was so good. The supporters were fantastic and it is so refreshing to hear them singing my name.

"I have to praise the boys as well. They were simply fantastic and I am so pleased the gaffer brought me back. To have that happen was amazing and hopefully there will be a lot more memories."

Tyson is still producing the goods at 35 and at the other end of the spectrum, Ebere Eze set the game alight with a terrific display.

Tyson heaped praise on the youngster and tipped him for a big career in the game if he can keep focused.

He added: "Ebere has unbelievable talent. I don't want his head to get too big and he has the ability to go a lot further.

"Ebere has to learn the game a little bit, especially defensively. He needs to be aware of who is around but his technique and his ability to breeze past players is phenomenal.

"As long as he keeps grounded and keeps his feet on the ground, I am tipping him to go very far.
