Grainger and Watkins head to Adams Park

OLYMPIC heroes Katherine Grainger and Anna Watkins will be guests of honour at Adams Park on Sunday for Wasps’ Premiership clash with London Welsh.

Marlow rower Grainger and Watkins won the double sculls at Dorney Lake during a glorious summer of sport in the country.

Grainger said: “I have been to Wasps several times and love the atmosphere at Adams Park – it’s an intimate ground, you feel so close to the action and the Wasps fans are so welcoming.

“Now that London Welsh are based at Oxford this game has all the hallmarks of a local derby and hopefully the atmosphere to go with it.”

The rowing duo will be presented to the crowd and talk about their experience in front of the Adams Park faithful.
