Sam takes gold on the mat
SAM Dobrowolski left a troublesome shoulder injury behind her to come away with gold at the Southend International Judo Championships.
The Micklefield Judo Club head coach won the veterans section just moments after watching her charges win four medals themselves.
Callum Saganowski and Alisa Sydykova won silvers in the U12 section while Chloe Dodge and Kim Da added bronzes.
Joe Chraniuk, Jake Mendy and Emils Canko also competed.
