WYCOMBE swimmer Bev Childs is finishing 2012 with a flourish.
She has just been awarded the RAF Sports Board Lifetime Achievement Award to cap her best ever season of triathlon.
Childs, who was in the RAF for 38 years from 1974, has competed in ten triathlons this year and recorded an incredible ten podium places.
This has included age-group titles of English Tri Champion, British National Sprint and Standard distance champion.
She also won her category of the European Championships in Israel and won bronze in both the Aquathlon and Triathlon World Championships in New Zealand
