CHESHAM United Ladies are into the second round of the Women’s FA Cup after a battling 3-1 win at Enfield.
Despite missing regular centre backs Cath Andrews and Hannah Paterson as well as keeper Katie McGloin, Chesham were too good with Gemma Fraser’s double giving them a 2-0 interval lead.
Anneka Nuttall made it 3-0 after the break before the hosts claimed a consolation.
Meanwhile, Chesham Reserves lost 1-0 at Gosport in the Southern Region while Chesham’s U14s remained unbeaten following a 7-1 victory over Bourne End.
Steph Weston scored five of the goals with Sophia Lingley adding two more.
The U14s Blues beat Chinnor 3-1 thanks to Molly Brooks, Sarah Jackson and Pippa Hollings, while Jodie Pedder and Rebecca Carter scored hat-tricks for the U12s at Risborough.
Meanwhile, Chesham's Tom Gowans has been included in the England Schoolboys U18 squad. The keeper came through final selections at Lilleshall last week.
He follows Chesham pair Tom Fouhy and Ben Mooney, who played for England Schoolboys last season.
