BOURNE End CC’s lead at the top of the Mid Bucks Premier Division has been cut after they were beaten at home by Bradenham.

They were dismissed for just 75 chasing Bradenham’s 123.

Downley closed the gap with a win over Wendover, reaching 127-2 in reply to Wendover’s 127-9, while Holmer Green are also well placed.

They made 170-6 at Ballinger before bowling their hosts out for 85.

Ley Hill (101-1) were too good for Monks Risborough (98) in the other match.

Saturday sees Bourne End and Holmer Green square up, while Downley go to Bradenham.

In Division One, Knotty Green are top of the tree after winning at Lacey Green.

They made 181-5 in reply to Lacey Green’s total of 179-7.

Challoners also enjoyed a valuable victory, dismissing Aylesbury Town for 140 after posting 143-8, while Widmer End (76) lost to Little Gaddesden (225-5).

Meanwhile, in Division Two Phoenix Old Boys continue to struggle despite making 182-9 at Bradenham 2s.

Their hosts pipped them to victory with 190-9, while Lacey Green 2s also lost.

There were wins for Holmer Green 2s and Downley 2s.
