ERIN Orford has been named as non-travelling reserve for the GB Para-Equestrian Dressage Squad heading to France for the World Equestrian Games, taking place from August 25-29.
The 25-year-old has been selected behind multiple Paralympian gold medalist Natasha Baker.
Orford’s selection though, is a remarkable show of faith from the selectors.
Her horse Morocco was injured before Hickstead but the 25-year-old hopped onto a horse she’d hardly ridden and did well enough to earn an invite to the Hartpury International.
Chef de Mission, Will Connell said: “The British para-equestrian dressage team have enjoyed many successes over recent years and it is clear that there are a number of nations working hard to push us off our perch.
“We travel to WEG with a very experienced squad that will be focussed on securing Rio 2016.”
