AMERSHAM CC came within a whisker of ending Lashings winning run this summer before eventually going down by just three runs.
They were beaten by a fireworks show from former South African Test batsman Hershelle Gibbs.
He produced a bludgeoning innings of 83 from just 38 balls as Lashings powered to 208-4 from their 20 overs at Shardeloes last night.
Amersham made a superb fist of the run chase, with Stephano Joubert making 32 and Andrew Viney top-scoring with 34.
But the run rate became just too steep as Lashings made it 15 wins in a row.
