AMERSHAM & Chiltern’s U11s have been untouchable so far this season.

Last weekend their A team won their second tournament in a row when they added their own minis title to the crown they won at Windsor seven days earlier.

But not just that, they lifted both titles with 11 wins out of 11 and, even more incredibly, without conceding a single point.

Manager Nick Hayes said: “At the minute they’re on fire. It’s a pleasure to watch them.

“It’s almost like a freak year group, they are just excpetional and to not concede a point is outstanding.

“The coach Matt Webb has got them playing well and very rarely do we go away without coming back with silverware now.”

Amersham invited teams from Chesham, Beaconsfield, Tring, Fullerians, Saracens and Buckingham to their home tournament, but their hospitality only went so far as they proceeded to dominate the tournament throughout the age groups.

Alongside the U11 As, the U11 B team – runners up in Windsor the previous week – won their section as well without losing a game or conceding a try.

And that dominance was duplicated at U8 and U12 level, where Amersham teams finished top of pools A and B.

The hosts also won at U7 and U9 levels, while their U10s were second behind Chesham after a 2-1 defeat. Webb said: “It has been a great day for the club winning at almost every age.

“The travelling teams were all a pleasure, we look forward to hosting this tournament again next year.”
