WYCOMBE District Swimming Club continued their impressive showing in the National Arena Swimming League with second and third places in the second round of competition.

The A team was competing in the in Guildford and finished third in the Premier Division, while the B team came home second in Horsham on the same night.

They were beaten by the A team of Bucks rivals Chalfont Otters.

After round two the A Team remains in joint seventh place overall but just a few points off the leading pack and the highest ranked club from Berks and South Bucks in the competition.

The B Team meanwhile held on to second place in Division Two but are just one point behind leaders Walkers Tigers from Jersey.

WDSC head coach Kevin Brooks said: “I am very happy with both teams in their second round.

“There were some great swims against some of the regions’ top clubs.”

Assistant head coach Craig Oliver said: “Some very strong swims show that we have not just a few talented swimmers leading the team, but more depth giving us two strong and competitive teams.”

Round Three takes place on 13th December to determine which teams progress to the Finals at Cardiff International Pool in April 2015.
