THREE Wycombe Hockey Club juniors have made it through to the next stage of England U16s trials this weekend.

Harry Bennett, Dylan Lim-Hon and Cameron Ryall all stood out in a series of Futures Cup matches and this weekend will attend further national trials at Lilleshall National Sports Centre.

The three stars were all involved on Sunday when Wycombe U16s thrashed Marlow 7-0 to remain on top of the England Hockey U16 Championship West League after four games.

Bennett (2), Callum Addison, Wills Hatton, Aran Johal, David Jones and Murray Whitaker were their scorers.

Meanwhile, Wycombe men’s first team drew 1-1 with Maidenhead with Harry Bennett scoring their goal, but Wycombe 2s put four past British Airways in a 4-2 victory.

Matt Bilsland, Ben Cutler, Chris Pedrick and Kris Sivagnanam scored their goals while Sander Eland, Alex Horn and Raza Sheikh netted in Wycombe 3’s 3-3 draw with Amersham and Chalfont 2s.

Elsewhere, Stephen Cavanagh (2), Andy Burroughs, Joe Daly and Mark Repath helped Wycombe 4s to a 5-0 triumph over Ashford 3s, while Wycombe 5s drew 1-1 with Bracknell 2s thanks to Ethan Richards.

Wycombe 6s lost 3-0 to Leighton Buzzard 3s.

In the ladies section, Wycombe’s first team jumped above Chiswick into third place in South League 3A with a 3-2 win.

Georgina Kilbourn (2) and Sophia Fallan put their team 3-0 up at the break before they withstood a fightback to take all the points.
