CHESHAM United inched past Chalfont St Peter in the Red Insure Cup last night, winning 4-3 on penalties after it finished 1-1 after 90 minutes.
Ryan Blake gave Chesham the lead but Myles Stephenson equalised for Saints to set up penalties.
Toby Little, Dave Pearce, Simon Thomas and Darren Purse then scored from the spot for Chesham, but while Asen Valchev, Alan Hedley and Arjet Memishaj netted for Saints Sam Grayley hit his kick against the bar before Kurt Morlese saw his effort saved by Chesham keeper Shane Gore.
