Stokenchurch Judo Club has enjoyed a medal-laden couple of weeks in competition.

Three players returned from the British Open Special Needs Championships - held in Cardiff on November 23 - with medals around their necks.

Shaun Banks took gold in the Level Three under 70kg category before following that up with a silver in the Level Two section.

Patrick Hepworth and Sean McKellar were also in action at the tournament in Wales, taking home a silver and bronze respectively.

On the same day, Tom Hale, Matthew Berrell and Dylan Stone, three of the club’s junior members, won gold, silver and bronze respectively at an Under Eight Preparation Event held in Micklefield.

There was also success for the club’s senior members at the NHC Kyu Grade Championships in High Wycombe on November 29.

Tahli Jenkinson took gold in the Novice to Orange belt section after topping his group, whilst Michaela Harrison also collected gold in the Green to Brown belt category.

Daniel Cuadrado picked up bronze after losing one bout in the Green to Brown belt section, rounding off a successful couple of weeks for the club.
