Marlow man Tyrrell Hatton is on course for a solid finish at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship after completing his third round.

Hatton shot a two-under par 70 to follow up scores of 66 and 71 in the first and second rounds respectively.

That leaves the Harleyford Golf Club member tied for 16th place on the leaderboard with a score of nine-under.

After his superb first 18 holes Hatton had been tied for third place, but has subsequently slipped down the rankings as other players find their form in Qatar.

World number one Rory McIlroy trailed Hatton after the first round but is now three shots ahead of the 23-year-old in fourth place.

Martin Kaymer has led from start to finish at the tournament so far, and the Swede looks odds on to win the title. At the time of writing he holds a six shot lead over the rest of the field.
