Tyrrell Hatton picked up a large cheque for his efforts at the European Tour’s season opener in Abu Dhabi after the Marlow man finished joint sixth.
The 23-year-old pocketed €79,757 for his excellent finish after he carded a final round 67 to finish 14-under par at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship.
Hatton shot five birdies without dropping a shot in his last 18 holes on Sunday to earn himself 68,364 ranking points.
Frenchman Gary Stal came through to win the tournament after a sensational final round 65 saw him beat world number one Rory McIlroy into first place.
Martin Kaymer had led the way after the first three rounds but capitulated on Sunday, shooting a three over par 75 to finish in third place.
Hatton will pick up his clubs again on Wednesday when he enters the Qatar masters.
