Tyrrell Hatton endured a tough time in the opening round of the Malaysian Open on Thursday.
The 23-year-old finished three-over par after the first 18 holes putting him way down the leaderboard in 92nd place.
Bogeys on the first two holes at the Kuala Lumpur Golf Club were followed by a birdie on three before he shot par on the remaining six holes.
On the back nine Hatton was going well until a double bogey six on 13 scuppered his hopes of getting back to level par overall.
Graeme McDowell leads the way at six-under par at the event, which is the fourth competition on the European Tour calendar.
