A brace from ex-Wycombe Wanderers striker Charlie Griffin fired Chippenham Town to a 3-0 success against Chesham at The Meadow on Saturday.
The Generals, who lost 6-5 to Histon in their last outing, kept it tight at the back in the first 45 minutes as the sides went in goalless at the break.
But it took the visitors just four minutes into the second period to take the lead as Griffin ran onto his goalkeeper’s long ball upfield before lobbing Shane Gore.
Things went from bad to worse for Chesham just three minutes later when Griffin volleyed home his second following an unconvincing punch from Gore.
United’s misery was compiled in stoppage time as Town scored their third of the afternoon to condemn the Generals to a third consecutive defeat.
Andy Leese takes his 12th place team to Dunstable Town on Saturday.
