Flackwell Heath won their first league title since 1957 on Saturday after they were crowned champions of the Hellenic Premier Division.

The Heathens have lost only one match en route to wrapping up the title with three games to spare following a 7-0 trouncing of bottom side Cheltenham Saracens at Wilks Park.

Graham Malcolm’s men led 2-0 at the break after two goals in two minutes from Liam Tack and Gavin James.

The remaining five goals came in the final 13 minutes through Joe Blount, Dan Burnell, Ben Sturgess and two more for James on a memorable afternoon for the club.

Victory for Heath racked up a 28th league game unbeaten since their only defeat to Binfield in September.

The Southern One Central division, which contains Beaconsfield, Marlow and Chalfont, is the most likely destination for Flackwell after their promotion.

Malcolm and his players could add more silverware to their collection when they take on Windsor in the Berks and Bucks senior cup final tomorrow night.

The Reds are also in the Wycombe Senior Cup final and the League Cup semi-final.
