High Wycombe capped off their title winning season in the Southern Counties North division with a 23-20 victory against local rivals Marlow at Kingsmead on the final weekend.

Mark Barry’s team won their final nine league matches to storm the division, finishing top of the pile by eight points.

Saturday’s win also gained a measure of revenge for two defeats to Richard Kinsey’s side earlier in the season – a 36-6 triumph in the reverse fixture and a 26-19 success in the County Cup.

Wycombe lost two of their opening three matches before embarking on a run of one loss in 19 to take the title.

Marlow meanwhile finished the campaign seventh in the table.
