Gerrards Cross beat Datchet and the rain to progress up the Home Counties Premier Cricket League.

Their home match was one of only five across the two divisions to be completed due to the weather, and conditions proved to be in their favour as victory put them within touching distance of the leaders.

Datchet were reduced to 138-9 before Cross completed their task by reaching 141-3 to seal a seven wicket victory.

In the same division Amersham’s trip to Shipton under Wychwood was called off, while High Wycombe’s visit to Horspath in Division One also fell victim to the weather – meaning the London Road side dropped further away from leaders Henley, who beat Tring Park by three wickets.
