One of Buckinghamshire’s most challenging and beautiful cycling races is set to return next year with enthusiasts invited to take part.

The Chiltern 100 is one of the region’s most well-known races and will take place on Sunday, 15 May 2016 across either a 76 or 110 mile route.

The event, which will be organised by Human Race Events, will take part across the 21 hills of the Chiltern range and will feature everything you would expect of a professional race including motorcycle marshals and feeding stations.

CEO of Human Race Events, Nick Russling, said: “Taking on the 21 hills is a big ask, but we are sure thousands of riders will once again be up for the challenge.

“We are delighted to be working alongside VCC, the club which started this esteemed event, to bring the Chiltern back for a ninth year.”

The route takes in some of the remarkable scenery of Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire and is part of a series including the London Cycle Sportive, Dragon Ride, Lionheart and L’Etape London.

Hundreds of riders have already signed up for the event and places are on a first come first serve basis with a discount available for those who book before Sunday, 31 January.

Multi-event packages are also available to those who wish to compete in more than one event and bookings should be made at www.humancare.co.uk/cycling.
