A Beaconsfield High student brought home a clutch of medals form the British Gymnastic Championships last week.
Amelie Morgan picked up one gold and two silver medals from the competition as she finished in fourth overall at the event.
The feat was made all the more impressive by the fact that she was competing against girls a year older than her, making her the highest placing first year Espoir in the competition.
Morgan made it to all four apparatus finals after a strong showing on the first day of the championships and collected her silver medals in the vault and floor disciplines.
Her crowning moment came on the beam though as she produced a dominant display to out perform the entire field and win a gold medal.
Had she not taking a fall on her bar dismount Morgan may have placed higher in the whole competition but will ultimately be pleased with her medal winning performance.
The success was built on a rigorous routine that involves attending specialist training sessions, and she will now hope that last week’s success will be a springboard to future glories.
