Micklefield Judo Club came away from the British Championships in Sheffield this weekend with two bronze medals.
Jamie Drew and Chloe Dodge were the club’s top performers at the competition. The pair both finished third in their respective events which were being held at the British Institute of Sport.
In what was billed as Micklefield’s biggest event of the year Dodge battled hard in the Pre Cadet -34kg category while Drew prospered in the Pre Cadet -36kg group.
Their efforts were ably supported by other team members including Alisa Sydykova who earned a highly respectable fifth place finish.
Andriy Zapotichny and Joseph Chraniuk both earned admirable wins in their competition to reach the later stages but neither could record a high finish.
