Wycombe District Swimming Club (WDSC) are celebrating reaching their first ever National Final.

The club’s A team put together an impressive showing at the National Arena Premier League Final earlier this month to secure the historic final spot.

They came in a close fourth at the event in what was an extremely competitive and fast race.

They will now take a place in the National B finals on 23 April alongside renowned clubs such as Stockport Metro and City of Leeds.

WDSC head coach, Kevin Brooks, said: “To reach the National finals demonstrates a depth across all age groups in a club.

“It’s a true testament of a club’s success in that year and this is a great outcome for WDSC. We’ll be going out for an epic final and to enjoy ourselves immensely.

“It is going to be all about fast swimming and I just know WDSC will step up and perform.”

Meanwhile the B team also crowned a strong season in victorious fashion as they won the Southern Division Two final.

They went undefeated in the opening two rounds of the event and came away as clear winners to gain promotion to the Division One West.

Brooks added: “The B team win is great recognition of some awesome individual and team efforts.”
