Goals from Lewis Ochoa, Michael Murray and Adam Kirby saw Chalfont St Peter produce a stunning comeback from two goals down to beat Ware.

The saints were trailing their Evo-Stik Southern Division One Central rivals by two goals with around 20 minutes left when Ochoa’s goal sparked the comeback.

With two minutes remaining Murray fired Chalfont level from the edge of the box before Kirby powered home a header in the 90th minute to seal the win.

Chalfont are three points clear at the top of the league and face 15th placed Potters Bar Town away from home on Saturday.

On Boxing Day Chesham United picked up their second win on the bounce as Ryan Blake scored the only goal of the game to secure a 1-0 win.

Blake headed home from 10 yards in the 33rd minute from Dave Pearce’s cross to end a personal drought that stretched back to his FA Cup winner against Bristol Rovers.

The Generals’ next game is on Saturday when they entertain Dunstable Town at The Meadow.

Marlow’s unbeaten run in the Division One South & West reached four games as Richie Whittingham, Marcus Mealing and Allen Bossman scored in a 3-2 win.

Marlow fell behind to Burnham inside five minutes but were level within a minute as Whittingham fired into the corner.

In the 17th minute Bossman’s volleyed finish made it 2-1 to the away side. Despite dominating from then on Marlow were pegged back in the second half.

They again showed their class though as Mealing raced onto Chris Ovenden’s through ball to complete the scoring.

Dean Allen’s stunning free kick proved to be the difference as Holmer Green earned a 1-0 win against Leverstock Green on Monday.

The Molten Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side were made to wait until the 77th minute for the breakthrough in a game played in awful conditions.

It was the sixth game in a row in which Allen has scored for a Holmer side that take on Berkhamsted on Saturday.

Risborough Rangers also collected a 1-0 win as they overcame New Bradwell St Peter in the Spartan South Midlands Division One.

Sam Ward scored the only goal of the game in the 19th minute and a run of seven games unbeaten in all competitions has seen Rangers climb to fifth in the table.

A 2-0 win against Thame United saw Flackwell Heath maintain their two point lead at the top of the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division.

Heath came into the game on the back of a 3-2 defeat against Longlevens AFC but bounced back admirably in a game they never looked like losing.

They host second placed Kidlington this weekend with both sides guaranteed a spot at the summit of the table should they win.

Both Amersham Town and Beaconsfield enjoyed a break over Christmas as neither side had any fixtures scheduled.

Beaconsfield will return to action on Saturday when they host Uxbridge in the Division One Central.

The wait goes on for Town as they do not play again until Saturday, 9 January when they have a home tie with Grendon Rangers in the Spartan South Midlands Division One.
