A much changed Wycombe Squash and Racket Club (WSRC) Firsts team fell to a 14-9 defeat against Chesham Bois 1B in Division One.
WSRC’s Rob Wallace started strongly but came unstack as Simon Ross battled back from two games down to ensure Bois started with a narrow win.
With Petr Nedzarilik and Freddie Evans both picking up wins, Wycombe led by a score of 8-4 going into the closing stages.
Chesham’s top two players both cruised to wins though as a spirited Wycombe effort fell just short at the death.
Chesham 1A made it a weekend to remember for the club as they thrashed Beaconsfield Lions 19-3 to move 11 points clear of their opponents.
In Division Two Wycombe made it two defeats from two as Aylesbury Firsts picked up a comprehensive 17-8 victory over Wycombe Nomads.
Chesham Bois Seniors added to the Wycombe despair as they squeezed to a narrow 15-10 win over Wycombe Drifters to move into second position.
Beaconsfield Tigers moved up to third with a comprehensive 14-7 defeat of Holmer Green Seconds. Elsewhere, bottom of the table Chesham 1879 picked up their first win of the season as they crushed RAF 19-7.
In Division Three, Holmer Green Thirds pipped Beaconsfield Trojans 13-10 in a very tight struggle. Nine points now separate Green at the top and 4th-placed Trojans, with Buckingham and Rivets in between.
